Merry post Christmas everyone! Sorry I haven't blogged in such a long time but nothing really has happened that is exciting. So I am going to update on what has happened to us...
Bug lost Kasey her princess pink poodle. I had called my local Italian restaurant where we eat out quite a bit and asked them if we could buy the PPP that they had in their vending machine. Well, they called me back and were very happy to help out. The managed to talk the vending machine vendor into giving us the poodle. So I told Bug that the people at Geppettos had found Kasey and wanted to know if wanted her back. Needless to say, she did. So off we went. It was very hard thinking fast enough. Bug wanted to know why Kasey was so clean(they washed her), then she wanted to know why she had a tag on her(so the people knew Bug owned her) and finally why wasn't she wearing her dress(you took it off so mommy could wash it remember?) After carefully thinking about all these new ideas the Kasey was declared found. Now remember that we had torn apart the house looking for the old Kasey. I was watching the news when Bug rounds the corner with two Kaseys in her hand. OH CRAP!! Wow, Bug you found two Kaseys. Where was she? In here she replies holding up her Tinkerbell lunchbox...The one place I didn't look at all. So now we have two Kaseys, Geppettos made a mistake and we called to see if it was okay to keep the new one...it was. So now she is very happy because we have two Kaseys.
Bug is doing great in school. She has started to pick up new words as well. Like sitting at the dinner table and she lets us know she heard a new word. We are all thinking it is something bad..."What does respectable mean...or what does tenacious mean?" If I thought my children would be normal, well, that has gone out the window.
Goober has been doing well. Her speech this last month has just exploded. She is 2 1/2 now and is talking so well. She is a horrid little tattle tail though. Her favorite is when you scold her and put her in time out..."YOU TOLD ME!" She doesn't like to be scolded. Or if Hubby calls her a nutjob..."Mommy, Daddy called me a nut job!" She tells on her stuffed animals, her pets, her sister...the snow....the list goes on. I just love seeing her speech develop. The only thing we are having a problem with is her colors. The girl can point out triangles, squares, circles and ovals. She can even match colors but ask her what a color is...nope, nothing, maybe it might be green. Heck she even can sing twinkle twinkle little star and the ABC song. She can tell you what most letters and numbers are...Colors are nothing! It is very frustrating.
I am sure I have more but my alone time is over so I will remember to blog later this week.
