sick girls

Well one sick girl. Poor Bug has just had a fever for the last week. She missed 2 days of school and when she woke up on Wednesday with a 98.6 temp, I felt she was fine to go to school since it was only a half day. Hubby wanted to keep her home but Bug was begging to go to school. I thought let's go with this since soon she will be begging to stay at home. However, by the time I picked her up and got her home her fever was back to 100. What kills me about this fever is that that except for being a bit tired she has no symptoms. Except for yesterday(friday) where she starts complaining that her legs hurt. The doctors are not concerned because of the illnesses that they have been seeing all over the harbor. They told me if by day 10 she still has a fever bring her in for blood work. Otherwise plenty of fluids and motrin when needed.

I am amused that through all this Goober who is usually the one sick hasn't been. She has been solid as a rock. I was finally able to get the H1N1 shot for her after weeks of irate phone calls to doctors offices who wouldn't see me cause she wasn't a regular patient or DSHS. So very happy. I am not one of those parents who were convinced that the swine flu was going to kill my girls. I am just worried about the fever with Goober's history of seizures.

Both girls are sleeping and seem to be fine for now.
