I am so sorry it has taken me so long to post anything. I have been very busy in a lazy sort of sense. Since I my last post in June, I have been to Phoenix, the zoo (twice) and dealt with my evil house, a garage sale for my relay team and various other little details...
The phoenix trip was awesome. You know it is going to be a great trip when your male flight attendant is very very very gay, and is very happy to be serving you! Hubby and I went down there to visit my aunt and uncle and a 7th anniversary trip as well. When we landed in the airport and went to get our car, they suggested we upgrade to the mid size. Well we had already paid for everything so we said no and went down to claim our car. They didn't have any more of our car in stock so we got a free upgrade! WOOHOO! Let me tell you if you get a chance to fly into this airport...DO IT! It is freaking massive! We had a lighting storm our first night, which set off a brush fire. The weather while hot was a nice dry heat without any humidity. It was lovely. I also forgot that the sun sets earlier down there so I would be thinking that it was much later than it really was. We didn't do much on the Wednesday we went down. On Thursday we drove all around the area. It is really beautiful. We went to a candy company where hubby had a chocolate covered jalapeno! He said it didn't taste bad but it was very hot. We also went to a botanical garden where we saw many different types of cacti. I got some great footage on my camera of a lizard threatening me with push ups. We did some sightseeing and shopping and all in all was a great day. On Friday we decided against driving to the Grand Canyon and instead went to Sedona. This town is beautiful...For Cindy and Brie, There is a lovely Church Called Chapel of the Holy Cross...This church is built into the rocks and when you walk in, you just feel so close to God in the simplicity of the building. Just don't look to the right where some jerk has built his 25 million dollar mansion and has been doing so for that last 6 years and has yet to move into it... Anyway it is just moving... Then we found this awesome park called slide rock. It's a state park in a canyon where the river has made these natural slides and swimming holes. It was the perfect end to a day to play there. I would wear jean shorts next time. I tore holes in the pants I was wearing and actually in my undies as well. The jeans protect. On Saturday while Hubby and his dad where at there meeting I went to visit my aunt and uncle. They live in a beautiful community that seems to be about 8 square miles and is gated with a guard and has a golf course down the middle of it and a community club that is just amazing. It seems like it should be some mansion. Anyway it was an awesome visit and I can't wait till they move to San Antonio so I can visit them their.
Well I have to go...Goober is demanding I get her water or she will spank me...
