ER time again...

For the past week Bug has been sick...a low grade fever and a cough. We gave her meds and it seemed to be working. Then on Saturday Goober wasn't feeling well around early afternoon. So we gave her some Motrin and put her down for a nap around 4pm. I laid down next to her and Bug went down for a nap as well. About 5pm I woke up to some hiccuping...Goober was having another febrile seizure. Let me tell you I shot out of bed and waited until she was done told Hubby to run a cool bath. I grabbed Goober and into the bathtub we went, clothes and all. Watching them have a seizure is scary because their eyes glaze over and they just flop around. Afterwards is worse I think because they have NO muscle control. She just flopped against me in the tub and whimpered. We called the on call doctor, and he told us to of course take her up to the ER to have her checked out. Hubby suggested taking Bug since she hadn't been feeling up to snuff.

We get to the ER and let me tell you, it was one of the longest waits in the waiting room I have ever had. Usually we get to a room fairly quickly and wait forever in there, but not this time. We went in filled out the paper work got sent back to the waiting room. Had the chest x-rays done, got sent back to the waiting room. Did some more registration, got sent back to the waiting room...On a side note...IF YOU ARE IN HANDCUFFS, YOU SHOULD GET A SPECIAL DOOR SO I DON'T HAVE TO SEE YOU!. There were at least 3 different prisoners just wandering the room with their guards...I DON"T LIKE THIS! We got to the hospital about 7 and got a room at 10. Oh yeah, about 9 Goober finally came out of the effects of the seizure, got off my lap and proceeded to dance around the waiting room, singing "shake your body!"
What are you here for?
Oh my daughter had a febrile seizure.
The big one?
No the one dancing...

So basically Goober has pneumonia and we have to be very diligent in monitoring her fevers, so that she doesn't have another seizure. Bug didn't have pneumonia, but the put her on the same antibiotics since she did sound very junky in her chest...

I would like to know the clause in the parenting handbook that says that when you are about to leave, by plane, to another place, your children have to get sick. This way I can find a loophole.
