Goober alert

First of all, Goober last week was very very sick and of course only being 22 months old couldn't very tell me what was going on. She started waking up in the middle of the night and couldn't be comforted, unless we were watching Dora and Diego. Then she started rubbing her ears, Ahh, it's an ear infection. Well I gave her some Tylenol and thought that I would take her to the doctor's in the morning. This all happening over Memorial Day weekend of course. So about 11pm Monday night I can't get G+oober to calm down at all. I let her watch Diego, NOTHING. So I wake up Hubby and SIL and tell them I am taking Goober to the ER, could my SIL watch Bug. Off to the ER we go. In at midnight, were I am telling them all her symptoms when I notice that she is retracting big time(sucking in her lungs very tight, were you could see all her ribs). Well, we get a chest x-ray, negative for any lung ailment. We get blood work, no infection, not really anything they could see. They check her ears, perfectly fine. The give her a breathing treatment and the doctor lets us know that she is concerned about the breathing but there is really nothing she can do. We schedule an appointment with the family doctor for later on Tuesday and basically are told the same thing. Everything is fine but the way she breathes. REALLY, THANKS FOR TELLING ME!

The next day everything is fine, no breathing problems, nothing. I still don't want them to go to daycare so I pull a midnight to 830am shift on Thursday, after only 3 hours of sleep. When SIL drops off the girls at my work I notice that Goober's throat is sucking in very deep. OH CRAP. So I call the doctor who refers me to another, I go in, she listens to Goobers lungs and sure enough someone can finally hear some wheezing. Goober has viral pneumonia. She had pneumonia earlier in May and it was treated when it was bacterial but somehow it mutated and messed up the bronchial sacs in her lungs. So now she has breathing treatments on a nebulizer everyday for 2 weeks. I took a picture of her on my cell with the oxygen mask on her face and texted LUKE, I AM YOUR FATHER! She is doing great, in fact she is pointing her finger at me and yelling at me to NO MOMMA Stop it. ( I took away a crayon.)

Poor Goober. I'm glad she's doing better now. Scary stuff.
