Melinda (the bear) has been found. The true Melinda, not one that mommy found at a store. Apparently Bug took Melinda to daycare. Then Bug to Melinda to the school across the street, while walking the big kids over in the mornings, and left her at the color table in the office area of the school. NOBODY touched her and one of the little girls told Bug that she had seen Melinda at school. Well, my daycare lady, being the awesome lady she is, told the mom of one of the boys at daycare who went and got Melinda for Bug. We are so excited! The fact the Melinda has been missing for a month and that NOBODY took her from the school. That is so cool. So now Melinda is back and safe at home.
I had Goober's 18 month checkup today. 33 inches tall and 25.8 lbs. WOW She is in the 98th percentile for height and the 81st percentile for weight. Bug is 38 inches tall and weighs 31.3 lbs and she is in the 23rd percentile for height and the 25th percentile for weight. So Goober is gaining on her. Goober is also 2 years and 3 months younger than Bug. I think that Goober will be stocky like me but tall like dad, and that Bug will be skinny like dad and short like me. These are good things. Back to the doctor's visit...Goober remembers the ER visit and all the evil poky people. She FREAKED out. Just sobbed the entire time. It broke every ones' heart. I was happy that she only needed to get one shot today and that she won't be getting a shot till she goes to preschool. Goober does have eczema though. I kinda knew that. She also has a lump on her back that may be from the Lumbar Puncture. I have to watch it for two weeks and if it doesn't go away back to the doctor I go.
I received a phone call from my brother about my niece. Gracie Lynn is doing great! The surgery went very well and they were able to fix everything. She is 5 weeks old now and is 9lbs. HOORAY. I enjoy the little miracles of life.
